The number of circles for each of their six battleships is indicated at the top of the page. As they try to discover the location of their opponent’s ships, they use the grid on the bottom of the sheet to keep track. Instructions are provided in English on each page. Have a look at the preview to see what these games look like. A list of 8 vocabulary words is written in the left column, and the masculine and feminine forms of 8 colors are written on the top. Students randomly match the words on the left with colors at the top while making adjective agreement. There is not an answer key included with this resource due to the number of possible responses. French Sentence Builder Worksheets For Beginners These French sentence builder worksheets are great for helping your beginner students practice writing sentences using high frequency verbs, grammatical structures, and vocabulary words. Three worksheets are included, and each one provides at least four different sentence options, so everyone won’t be writing exactly the same thing. Choosing sentence components makes this activity fun! As students they work through steps 1 - 3, they will check boxes for the components they want to include in their final three sentence paragraph which they will write at the bottom of the page. Students will practice reading, 1 - 2- 3 - 4 step sentence building, and writing their sentences while checking to make sure they have all of the necessary components.

Le jeu des 7 familles- être - aller - avoir - faire - parler - finir - attendre Le jeu des sept familles - A classic card game is fun for students of all ages! This version is for practicing the present tense conjugations of être - aller - avoir - faire - parler - finir - attendre. Includes: How to play (en français) 42 playing cards to print on heavy paper or cardstock This card game is an excellent way to practice and memorize verb conjugations, and it will have your students speaking to each other in French the whole time! In the deck of 42 cards there are 7 families of 6 cards (je - tu - il - nous - vous - ils). One player distributes five cards to each player (2 to 4 per group). The rest of the cards are placed in the “pioche”. One player begins the game by asking another player to give him a card. He might say: Dans la famille AVOIR, est-ce que tu as J’AI? His goal is to come up with a complete family. If the player doesn’t have it, he says PIOCHE. If he draws the card that he asked for, he can continue to play and ask someone for another card. Each time a player comes up with all six members of a family, he can make a stack. At the end of the game, the player with the most sets of families wins!

This is an easy to play 30 minute dice game to practice the French verbs SORTIR - DORMIR - COURIR - PARTIR - SERVIR - SENTIR. I have included six different versions of this game in six tenses: present, passé composé, imperfect, simple future, conditional and present subjunctive. You can use this game with beginners and advanced students alike. Just choose the tenses you want to work with, et voilà! My high school students love this game, and it can get very competitive if you decide to play it as a race (details are explained with the activity). Students divide up into teams and play a dice game, the dice determining which subject and infinitive to conjugate in the tense indicated. Use this set of primary French speaking prompt cards to get even your most timid students talking to each other in French. These 25 question cards are terrific as discussion prompts and journals. This no prep activity is perfect for small groups or centers. You can also use the powerpoint version to make it a whole class activity. These end of the year question cards are perfect for FRENCH IMMERSION or CORE FRENCH. You can easily use these cards as a review with French students at any level. Included: 25 question cards (color and black and white versions as you see in the thumbnails), Powerpoint presentation version to project to the whole class and / or modify as desired. There are many ways you can use this set of 25 speaking cards: ➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes and attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions. ➤ Project the powerpoint showing questions to the whole class and have them answer the questions with a neighbor. ➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation buddy. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box. ➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out their answers. ➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer. ➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them.
